Construction of New Sports Facility in Hednesford Has Started
A new sports facility worth £390K in Hednesford is about to be estalished this year. It is confirmed that respective people are starting to work on the sports facility since the 2nd week of March 2016. The development of this full-sized floodlit is a 7v7 grass pitch. The same week that the construction has started, the Cannock Chase Council even visited the suggested site and checked the overall plan. The visit is to inspect the on-going project. The site will actually have an artificial grass on the Bradbury Lane.
The AGP (Artificial Grass Pitch) is a fenced full-sized area designed for floodlit. The previous West Cannock Sports and Social Hub, which has not been used for many years since 2008 will have a new pavilion on the same site. This social hubs intended to receive about £390,039 investment. Which’s revealed through the statement from Cannock Chase District Council. In February 2016, they received an awarded by the Sports England Association of the same amount because of the project. The award then given to them for bringing back the site. Rebuilding it to life and used as the center of recreation and sports in Hednesford.
Planning Stage
Portfolio Leader for Culture and Sports, Councilor Christine Mitchell said in an interview that the planning stage will really have to take a long process. She added that the council plays a major role in terms of the delivery and promotion. That therefore encourages people to participate in recreation, sports and all other physical activity. As a first-class sports facility, Mitchell believes that the community as well as the entire Hednesford District will surely benefit on the construction of this recreation facility.
