Bank Park is now taking new heights as a great place for bowling green
The work is now starting to invigorate the Bank Park to set up a pavilion for bowling enthusiasts. According to the council bosses, they said that about 272 individuals took their part when it comes to the consultation right over the scheme that they launched in the autumn season. They want the park, which primarily surrounds the Town Hall to be properly restored. This is to its original structure and most of all become the ultimate town center’s jewel in the crown.
The individuals who took part agreed to refurbish the original path layout in order to make it even more attractive. The bosses of the council also suggested providing café. They decided to back up the process of installation with two different artificial bowling greens. About 71% of them agreed to have artificial greens while 27% wanted to have a grass and artificial green. The remaining 2% wanted both. Furthermore, 97% of them voted to have play area for children while some want it to become dog free.
According to the executive board member for culture, community, and leisure, Clr Kate Hannon, they are very much thankful to those who took their own time just to give them their thoughts regarding the Bank Park. Aside from that, they are also hoping that it will be the beginning of the newest chapter for Bank Park. Thus making the place as the best space in the entire town.
Furthermore, she said that various groups help in determining the direction that have to take in the park. Thus carrying different activities by themselves in order to support the area maintenance. This includes the litter picking, planting, and most of all making them aware regarding the damage and repairs that are necessary. The work restore the path layout’s historic will kick start this coming winter.
The officials of the council on the other hand are hoping to plan applications that are available for the newest pavilion. This is as well as bowling greens that primarily include the fencing along with lighting, landscaping as well as painting when spring season comes.
