Binfield FC, Bracknell Town, Workingham and Emmbrook Announce the Pre-Season Friendlies
Bracknell Town FC will be playing many of their team’s pre-season friendlies an artificial grass pitch. It is to be prepared for their 1st ever season at Larges Lane. The Robins got their preparations for the 2016 to 2017 season under way with the first game to be held on July 9. They’re set to take on Combined Counties League side Camberley Town at Easthampstead Park.
Following this, the team will visit the Premier League side, Slough, located at the Langley College on July 14. This will take place before they move to the official playing field located in Wantage. Following this game, it will be back to the Easthampstead Park where they face Tylers Green and Penn on July 19.
League games held on artificial grass
The Windsor, which is another Combined Counties League will visit Easthampstead Park on July 30. Robins will also end their pre-season on August 2 at Holyport. Bracknell player Adam Cornell managed to sweep up 2 trophies when taking on Admiral Cunningham in Priestwood.
The striker of the game, who netted twenty one goals in a total of twenty seven games, won and brought home the Roger Edwards Golden Boot. He also won the Player’s Player of the Year award. The player of the season of Manager Mark Tallentire had been attacking the midfielder Kennie Chamberlain. This was whilst the teenage defender, George Lock, was the roaring winner of the supporter’s award. He gained more than half of the votes sent in by the fans.
In the Development team, James King, earned 2 major awards along with Ben Poynter who won the golden boot. All the youth section awards and trophies were awarded to Taylor Sheeran, Sean Hanley, and the leading scorer and attacker, Conner Thorndike. The manager of the Development Team, Liam Day, secured the Bracknell’s Clubman of the Year trophy. Emmbrook and Wokingham, consigned from the Hellenic Premier Division, start their friendlies along with the home game versus the Division one West champions Carterton on July 9, Saturday.
